Barbara, this is beautiful and heartwrenching. Thank you for writing this and sharing it with me. I'm an adult child of alcoholics so my perspective is slightly different than having an alcoholic partner. However, the invisibility....I felt that so hard as a kid and it still reverberates in my life today. Thank you for putting this into words.
