Right, they are not mutually exclusive as you say. I just think there are already enough words written and sung and made into movies that talk about how horrible the cheating and the cheaters are and not enough words the stuff that I'm focusing on in my essay.

And always I'm less interested in the general and much more the specific, which is why I share my personal specific experiences with being cheated on and cheating on someone.
