Thank you! That study you cited is depressing, one fifth of all people is a lot, especially if they are also considering long distance friendships. I think it's bad enough not having anyone locally, but not having anyone at all outside my partner would be so much harder. As for childhood friends, I have one who feels more like a sister who I have stayed extremely close with and a few others who I have nothing to do with at all anymore and feel no connection with even though we have a lot of shared experiences and roots.
